Ctg Customs Seizes Container Loaded With ‘Liquefied Cocaine’

Officials Customs Intelligence and Investigation Department seized a suspected cocaine to be liquefied in 107 containers at the port of Chittagong on Sunday morning container.

Custom sources said Khan Jahan Ali importer Enterprise Limited declared as imported container loaded with 107 drums 2140 liters of oil Sun Flower, using the e-Nabi Market, 232 Khatunganj under Kotwali thana in the port city.


 
Based on secret information Detective Branch asked the Customs Intelligence officials to seize the vessel on suspicion of being cocaine.

The police arrested one Nur Mohammad, owner of Khan Jahan Ali Enterprise Limited, Sohel and his manager, who actually gave the order to import using the email address and pad trading company.
The vessel was sealed CCT yard 3 in the port of Chittagong on Saturday night and was opened on Monday in the presence of officials from relevant departments for physical inspection, custom sources said.

According to the directives of the higher-ups, a team led by Additional Deputy Commissioner DB SM Tanvir Arafat initiated investigation into the matter.

Lawmaker’s enforcers detained one Nur Mohammad, owner of Khan Jahan Ali Enterprise Limited, and Sohel Manager, which actually issued the import order by directing and organizing pad.
