AVOID A FOOD POISONING WITH FOOD PACKAGINGS

How To Avoid Food Poisoning In Food Packaging?

In order to ensure that all materials that may come into contact with food are safe, you should make contact with the food testing laboratory. All materials in contact with food, such as containers, tableware, glassware, ceramics and containers should be safe and should not transfer any of the ingredients in foodstuffs. Food packaging materials must be safe for human health or change the composition, the taste or smell of food.

An article published in July 2014 in Food Packaging Forum Foundation in Zurich, said at least 175 chemicals that come into contact with our food. Some of them are related to chronic diseases or endocrine disruption.

For you, Asia Textile Inspection, observed many disturbing elements in the composition of our materials that come into contact with our food and its dangers.

Phthalates and biphenyl A, two families of chemicals are used in the manufacture of various plastics. Are configured similarly hormones. They can interact with the receiver for some of them. They can alter hormonal balance - talking about mimetic hormonal activity and endocrine disruption

BPA is also a component of epoxy resins, this flexible varnish, applied by heating in the interior of metal cans to ensure sealing and microbiological safety of foods. There is also the resin in glass jars covered metal (such as baby food jars or glass canning) in glass bottle caps, cans inside and boilers say aluminum. The risks include skin irritation caused by the resins, but even more hardeners. Contact dermatitis, for the most sensitizing resins (instead of curing), with possible violations of the face (including the eyes ...). Occupational dermatitis is observed in exposed workers. These resins do not seem to induce asthma or cancer. However, a single case of contact dermatitis in cancerous lesion evolution was observed.

The use of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), a non-recyclable plastic, is also of concern. This fluoropolymer, known under the name of Teflon, is a suitable release liner to a poor cooking fat. If the PTFE is stable up to 260 ° C; further, it degrades. Its release properties are then altered, and this degradation causes an emanation of disrupting toxic fluorine gas to fragile organisms. In addition PFOA or perfluorooctanoic acid, is a kind of industrial glue to hold Teflon, including collage is almost impossible without it because of its properties. This "glue" was recognized as carcinogenic to laboratory animals. It crosses the placenta in pregnant women and the causes of congenital diseases, disorders of the immune and digestive systems. A Danish study published in 2009 showed a correlation between levels of PFOA in blood and male infertility.

Knowing that the materials in contact with food can cause security risks, have adopted strict standards for materials in contact with food, especially in the EU and the US, where all materials in contact with food export the European Union or the United States must be tested and certified. To ensure your food is safe and certified, we recommend using

The services of our experts who have extensive knowledge of international standards with food. We can perform tests according to different standards, including, but not limited to EC No. 1935/2004, EN 1186, EN 13130 for the Union and the regulations of the FDA in the United States of Europe.

One of our surfers wanted to share his experience in the packaging of food products. In fact, a gel pack is ill-conditioned silica found. Either the silica gel is not harmful to health unless if man swallows it. If a human swallows it risks a deterioration in their intestinal wall and runs the risk of having an ulcer.
